The Lion Project and Denver Public Schools’ Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Present: ‘Thrive Community Drive’ at Thrive Workplace Ballpark

The Lion Project, in collaboration with the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department and Thrive Workplace, is hosting the Thrive Community Drive to benefit low-income families in Denver Public Schools. The drive runs from now until December 20th, at Thrive Workplace. The drive collects essential items, including food, clothing, toiletries, household necessities, and holiday toys for families in need.

With FACE’s guiding vision, “When Families and Communities Thrive; Every Learner Thrives,” this initiative unites local organizations and community members to make a meaningful difference for schools in need. The Lion Project has been supporting these schools throughout the year, and the Thrive Community Drive aims to brighten the holiday season and help families feel supported through both essential and holiday items.

“We’re excited to bring our community together for a cause that directly impacts these local families,” says Brandi McMichael, Communications Director for The Lion Project. “This drive is about more than just providing items; it’s about showing these families that their community cares and is here to help them thrive.”

What to Bring:

  • Food: Nutritious, perishable and non-perishable items to help stock family pantries.

  • Clothing: New or gently used clothing for children and adults.

  • Toiletries: Unopened hygiene items like shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste.

  • Household Supplies: Cleaning products, paper goods, and other essentials.

  • Christmas Toys: New, unwrapped toys for all ages to bring holiday cheer to children within low-income Denver Public Schools.

How to Get Involved:

  • Bring Donations: Every contribution, large or small, will help meet families’ needs this season.

  • Spread the Word: Invite friends, family, and coworkers to participate.

  • Drop Off Donations: Donations can be delivered to any Thrive Workplace location from now through December 20th.

Through this collaborative effort, The Lion Project, Thrive Workplace, and FACE are helping to provide vital resources to families in need while fostering a sense of community and joy.
